Welcome to the new My Quaint Life

Finally!  My new look is almost done with the support of my super helpful host provider (actually he’s more like a digital angel especially to a techie-challenged person like me).  He literally did in a few minutes what would take me months to try to figure out, if I had enough stocked-up sanity to pursue it.  To DARRELL, SUPER THANK YOU!

I was so excited to relaunch the site last Sept. 15, just in time for my hubby’s birthday.  But the “universe” had other plans.

The weekend before, I was trying to transfer my hosting to Problogger but for some reason I couldn’t do it.  Asked my friends and their transfers was as easy as pie.  Through experience, I learned to stop my OC tendencies (i.e. sweetly pestering people to get what I want done) and let the transfer “unfold” the way it should, a part of me felt there was a reason for it.

True enough, Sept. 15 came and I found out why.  Of course the “problems” were easily explained by my host also transferring servers the same time I was (of course that’s the “real” reason).  By the time I came to my marketing class, I found the “aha!-so-that’s-why” reason.  The topic was finding one’s voice, tuning out the unneccessary, narrowing down what is and finally zeroing in on what is true to me.

Sept. 15 may not have been much of a relaunch but it did become more of a “rebirth” for My Quaint Life.

I worked through the night (after coming home at 10pm) up to the wee hours to define what is true and dear to me.  Finally, I did find my voice.  And like any true AHA! (like taking an exam when you’re in the zone, where your pen seems to know the answer before you even write it down making your blue book (exam paper) cleaner than your notebook) that was what it was like.

So armed with this new personal knowledge, I would like to invite you to tune in to what I have discovered and will discover to help us live a life truly worthy of the future we leave our children.

Oh, by the way, can you guess my digital angel’s birthday??? of course, Sept. 15!  Belated Happy Birthday!

(hahaha, does it sound too new-age?, I’d rather see it as serendipity)

P.S. For the second time, I will try the relaunch on October 3, this time my papa’s birthday, my first and tireless supporter, even when he didn’t understand, he was always there to help.
