That sums up exactly what we need to do in life, and it’s not just about being green. And it’s exactly what I try to remind myself in very stressful situations.
On April 30, there are two worthwhile events you can go to if you are yearning for some earth-friendly activity for you and your family, especially with the kids.
It’s great that a lot of groups are really taking the initiative to do something to make for a better self, better earth, better country and better Filipinos.
The World Tai Chi and Qigong Day 2011 Philippines April 30
My mother-in-law used to attend the Tai-chi classes in UP with the mom in this poster, and my son used to be classmates with the little boy. Would be great to go this with my son, but will have to see if we can squeeze it in.
Though I never did get the chance to try it out, I find Tai Chi to be very interesting. I may be wrong but I see it as a practice of self-control, mastery and being in the now. If you ask me, all the pre-requisites in living the green life.
So if you would like to give it a try, this is a must, and best of all it’s FREE!
Antipolo Earth Fest 2011 April 30 to May 1
Another interesting activity is organized by Duyang Luntian. I got their email invite and I was drawn to what they have in store for their participants. There’s music, arts, green marketspace, a host of holistic and spiritual activities, and of course what I truly miss the most, YOGA!
Another draw for me is none other than Joey Ayala! Been bumping into him ever since the campaign of Nicanor Perlas and it has always been interesting to hear this man not just sing but what he has to say as well.
For more information and complete line-up of activities, just check their site at www.antipoloearthfest.com and facebook page.
Looks like its going to be a full weekend for ecopeeps, just remember to bring your sunblocks with you!
Let’s share more good news for the Filipinos.
